NTT BizLink received ISO14001 (EMS) certification in March 2007 and initiated environmental protection activities. Recognizing that the use of our core services, such as "Data Center Services" and "Multipoint Video Conferencing Services", can contribute to a reduction in environmental load, we first performed calculations to determine the level of environmental load reduction in 2007 and we also performed these calculations in 2008.
We compared conventional customer managed internal servers to data center managed services and found that Housing Services can facilitate maintenance aggregation and space conservation.
In the same manner, Mail & Web Services can facilitate server aggregation and space conservation.
Furthermore, with iTrustee, which provides ASP Storage Services, dematerialization and the elimination of the need for transportation has been realized. With the Agurippa Service that allows multiple sites to be viewed in one list with a single login, server aggregation and a reduction in PC usage time can be realized.

In addition, since the service is offered as an ASP (Application Service Provider) using multipoint connection equipment, meeting server setup for each site is no longer required.

Calculations to determine the level of environmental load reduction from the use of Housing Services (including dedicated hosting), Mail & Web Services (Hosting Services), iTrustee and Agurippa (ASP Services) were performed.We compared conventional customer managed internal servers to data center managed services and found that Housing Services can facilitate maintenance aggregation and space conservation.
In the same manner, Mail & Web Services can facilitate server aggregation and space conservation.

Multipoint Video Conferencing Services
Here, we compared the conventional method of having meeting participants move to the meeting place using various modes of transportation such as planes, trains or buses, to the use of the Multipoint Video Conferencing Service, and saw a significant reduction in environmental load caused by transportation because meeting participants can attend meetings without having to travel.In addition, since the service is offered as an ASP (Application Service Provider) using multipoint connection equipment, meeting server setup for each site is no longer required.
